The Lucky One is based on Nicholas Sparks's best seller. The story is about a Marine travelling to North Carolina after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war. U.S. Marine Sergeant Logan Thibault (Zac Efron) returns from his third tour of duty in Iraq, with one thing he believed kept him alive from a photograph of a woman he found, he doesn't even know. Learning her name is Beth (Taylor Schilling) and where she lives, he shows up at her door, and ends up taking a job at her local kennel business.
