Telstra Call Center Scandal 2012 – Filipina Kill Bills

A telco call center based in the Philippines is under investigation over claims of a employee extorted money from a customer. Daniela (According to sources her real name is Mitchelle Valdez) a call center agent serving Telstra, an Australian telecommunications and media company, purportedly offered to kill big bills for a small kickback fee. A customer named "Sam" said that the call center representative offered to change his account and reduce his bill, from $557 to just $99, in exchange for $60 to pay for a shoe! According to Today Tonight, "Daniela" contacted "Sam" privately, via email with an extraordinary proposition that reportedly read: "Sam, you really sound pleasant to me... lols. do you want me to rectify this bill straight away? can do some reverse of charge and just put your account on $99 charge so you won't have problem when you go into state work, if I have to receive these special presents. cheers! daniela" Watch the YouTube video of the report, uploaded on March 21, 2012:
