23-year-old Jenna Talackova is the first transsexual contestant of Miss Universe Canada beauty pageant this May, has been disqualified. Why? He or She was born male. Talackova began hormone therapy at age 14 and undergone sexual transplant surgery at 19, was listed on the official Miss Universe Canada as a contestant until the organizer discovered that she was transgender. Talackova posted a message on her Twitter account saying "I'm disqualified, however I'm not giving up. I'm not going to just let them disqualify me over discrimination." She says she has been "disqualified for being born."
