A 16 year old high school girl from St. Theresa's College high school in Cebu was not allowed to attend her graduation ceremony because of her bikini photos in her facebook account. The punishment by the school St. Theresa's College high school was called too harsh and unjust by the mother of the high school student, who sued officials of the private Catholic school. The Regional Trial Court Judge ordered the school to show him a copy of the photos, and the Student Handbook which prohibits several actions such as engaging in immoral, indecent, obscene or lewd acts. The Judge's decision will be made soon before her graduation in marching up the stage to receive her diploma on March 30, 2012. The girl will still be able to graduate but is banned from joining the graduation ceremony on Friday, March 30. The family’s lawyer Enrique Lacerna said that the girl was photographed in a family-related outing. The student was cited for violating five provisions in the STC Student Handbook, including a rule against "posing and uploading pictures on the Internet that entail ample body exposure."
